He pulled away from the kiss to rub and nuzzle against him, a smile on his face. “I love you, Kurogane. I love you. I love you.”

“I know, I know,” he replied, petting behind Fai’s ears. Kurogane moved to scratch his cheek and under his chin, watching his face carefully. It might have been just a little bit on the somewhat cute side…not that he would ever say that.

He smirked as he felt the man itch him. It felt so good and he was so happy as he purred louder. “I’m so glad…I came to you.”

“Y-yeah?” Kurogane stopped scratching and kissed the tip of Fai’s ear. “We should…get going soon. I have…work.”

“Ah! Of course!” Fai got off of him and moved to clean everything up before getting his shoes on. Then the light coat that Ashura got him. “Oh! Maybe I can ask Ashura for some winter things for Christmas?”

“Well, if that’s what you like, then you’re in luck.” Kurogane took a large bite out of his breakfast. “I close my shop on Christmas to give myself the day off. Which means I’ll be home all day with you.”

“Really?!” Fai’s tail started to twitch with excitement as he tried to keep himself from rubbing against Kurogane while he was eating. “I get to spend…the whole day with you…I’m so happy.”

“And then a week after that is New Year’s.” Kurogane couldn’t help but grin a little. “I take two days off for that.”

Fai went wide eyed and he couldn’t help himself. He leaped across the table and gave Kurogane a deep and very happy kiss while he purred. “Mnnn…”

While Kurogane was impressed that Fai didn’t knock anything off the table in his cat-like pounce, he hadn’t been expecting it, and so fell over backwards in his chair. Their lips were pressed together quite firmly, but Kurogane placed a hand on Fai’s back and didn’t let it bother him. He pet the other softly as he listened to him purr.

“Oh…” He frowned a little but then bucked up and went back to the table to eat his pancakes with syrup. “Thank you for making these by the way.”

“No problem,” Kurogane replied. When his pancakes were done, he sat at the table with Fai to eat. “If you want some whipped cream, I’ll get some the next time I go grocery shopping.”

“Yay thank you!” He beamed and put his plate in the sink. “Ah…Kurogane? When I was out with Ashura…there were people talking about Obon. What is that?” He had been a pet since he was ‘created’ and had no idea holidays or events.

“Obon is a holiday. A day where we celebrate something,” he explained. “But Obon is in the summer. It’s almost winter now. Soon we’ll see Christmas decorations and people trying to sell cheap ‘gifts’ to couples.”

“Oh! Christmas! Master would give me lots of cute clothes and toys for Christmas. He’d even let me cuddle with him for a while, while he pet me. I didn’t care for the clothes and things…the best present was just spending time with him.” He looked down and smiled a bit. “But I get that almost everyday with you, Kurogane! So everyday is like Christmas to me!”

He giggled at the reaction and then gave Yunan a sweet kiss on the cheek. “I’m sorry Yunan. I had to say it to see how you’d react.” He teased and stroked his chin. “Enough distractions. Shall we begin?”

Nodding and taking Fai’s hand “Come on.” Leading him out of the house and around the back. “Here” opening a cellar and started to walk down “Come on.” Waling down, about a minute and still not reaching the bottom.

Fai nodded and followed him, threading their fingers together. He wanted to learn more. Learn more about magic and about Yunan. He never felt like this before and it frightened yet excited him. “It’s deep.”

“Sure.” Fai nodded. He felt his magic flowing through him. He wanted to completely let go of the past and start anew. Learn new spells with a new teacher that his heart had so quickly embraced. “I am ready to learn, sensei.”

Taking a drink of water, rther pleased the toher was feeling better till…. Sensei. Spitting out his water “Wh-what?!” Waving his hands in front of his face “No no no no no no Please don’t call me that. Just Yunan is okay.”

“I see…sorry if I seem a bit eager. I haven’t really embraced magic like this in a very long time.” Fai smiled at him and tried to calm himself down so he didn’t overbear the other.

A bit worried for him, but tries to stay calm “How about normal magic till I teach you all the parts and layers of the body?” Not wanting to have anything forgotten.

“Sure.” Fai nodded. He felt his magic flowing through him. He wanted to completely let go of the past and start anew. Learn new spells with a new teacher that his heart had so quickly embraced. “I am ready to learn, sensei.”

“Ah…!” Fai pulled back and blinked a little, his sight a little spotty from the bright light. “Th-thank you…” He looked at him and smiled and moved. “I would like to learn some spells now.”

A bit shocked “I’ll give you one spell for you to practice and learn, but for now because it is considered new to you be gentle and take breaks.”
